On October 2nd, the annual EPIVINF General Assembly Meeting took place at the historic Ateneu Barcelonès in Barcelona, bringing together experts from across Europe to discuss the latest developments in viral infection research. The event served as a platform to review recent achievements, set new objectives and outline future strategies, with a focus on epigenetic regulation, HIV, Long COVID, and related neurological complications.
Presentations highlighted significant progress in areas such as transcriptomics, vaccination studies and neurocognitive research. Researchers from leading institutions, including Saarland University, Ospedale San Raffaele, IRTA-CReSA, Omniscope and IrsiCaixa, shared key findings and emphasized the need for ongoing collaboration to address pressing public health challenges.
